Our Vaal River Year End Function Venue Caters For All

Have you run out of ideas for a year end function venue and do you feel it is time to move on from the predictable restaurant or Bushveld lodge routine?  A river lodge makes for a refreshing change and there is one only an hour’s drive from Johannesburg and 10 km outside the resort town of Parys.  Our lodge is situated on the Vaal River and our expansive complex caters for far more than just a year end function.

Function Venues

At our lodge, there is a year end function venue for every group size, requirement and taste:

• Bushman’s Bar is our smallest venue with space for twenty people; it is private and away from the main entertainment area and has its own private bar.
• Hippo is larger and can accommodate seventy people.  It is also away from the entertainment area and has a wooden deck all around where you can enjoy a drink and witness the setting sun.
• Elephant is situated at the main entertainment area and can accommodate groups of up to 140 people, complete with sun deck and private bar.
• Rhino is the largest venue at our main entertainment area and can accommodate 200 sitting banquet guests or 300 cocktail party guests.

Lots to Do

There is a lot to do at our year end function venue too, and you may find yourself returning with your staff for a team-building weekend, once you have seen some of the team-building activities we have on offer.  These have all been designed by qualified facilitators, who oversee all activities to ensure that the interpersonal dynamics are utilised in such a way as to promote trust, teamwork and bonding.

We also have on-site accommodation for up to 139 people in comfortable log cabins, so our Vaal River year end function venue really does cater for all.
